Center Firemen responded to a house fire on CR 1490 off of FM 2974, Upper Arcadia Road around 7:30 this morning.

 

The brick home of the late Ann Crocker was destroyed by the blaze.

 

Center Fireman Nathan Phelps tells us flames were coming throught the roof of the 2,500 sq. ft. dwelling when they arrived.

 

Around 12 Center fireman were on the scene, along with three from the Timpson Vol. Fire Dept., who also brought water to help fight the intense fire.

 

A washed out culvert leading into the property made maneuvering fire trucks tough.

 

Its reported no one was living in the home. The cause is under investigation.
