More information has been made available on the major two-vehicle accident this morning on at Hwy. 96 south and Loop 500 in Center.

According to Officer Jacob Gross of Center PD, the accident occured at 5:25 a.m. when a Toyota SUV, driven by a Sour Lake man was headed north on Hwy. 96 when he apparently ran a red light and struck a Tyson 18-wheeler's trailer head-on, killing the man on impact.

The driver of the Tyson truck was not injured.
