OSHA fines Nacogdoches Pilgrim's Pride processing plant following employee's death

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined Pilgrim’s Pride chicken processing facility in Nacogdoches $59,500 following an employee’s electrocution death last summer.

OSHA said in their report they’ve cited the facility three serious violations and one repeat violation in connection to the death of 50-year old Bobby Joe Beall on August 4.

Beall was reportedly performing maintenance on equipment when he was electrocuted and died.

OSHA is reporting Pilgrim’s Pride is contesting the violations.
