The fourth suspect wanted for taking oilfield equipment and supply from eight oilfield companies at multiple sites has been arrested.
The San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office says that 21-year old Jeremy Bradford Sowell of Hemphill was arrested Monday and charged with Theft and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
Diesel, oil and various batteries were stolen throughout San Augustine County recently.
Sowell’s arrest brings to four the number of suspects wanted and charged.
Joshua Miles Bearden and Roy Edward Marshall, both of San Augustine, and Russell Dale Smith of Hemphill have also been charged in the theft ring.
