At last week’s Center ISD Trustee’s meeting, the board considered procedures to appoint a special committee to review the athletic facilities at the school district.

Superintendent Dr. James Hockenberry said the committee will be appointed in the same fashion as the AD search committee. He noted it has not been determined who will serve on it at this time, and expected no formal appointment until January’s board meeting.

Dr. Hockenberry said the purpose of the committee will be to conduct a needs assessment of the athletic facilities whether that involves expansion, renovation and/or revitalization and purpose.

He added the athletic facilities will report recommendations to the board of trustees.
