While the Garrison ISD goes through a superintendent search process, former administrator Arnie Kelley has returned on an interim basis.

Darren Webb was hired Dec. 8 as superintendent of the Lago Vista ISD, leaving the vacancy. Lago Vista is on the north shore of Lake Travis, near Austin.

Kelley was Garrison superintendent from 2003 to 2009.

The search process for Webb's successor will begin in January. A Center native, Webb was with the Garrison ISD for 10 years-four and a half as principal and five as superintendent.

The Chireno ISD is also in search for a new superintendent as Roger Dees has taken the same job at the Giddings ISD.
