Taylor Funeral Home of Timpson announces service for 49-year old Robert Joe Marshall of Timpson. Service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. until service time. Among Robert Joe Marshall’s survivors is his wife, Robin Beavers Marshall of Timpson; mother, Glenda “Granny” Polk of Timpson; son, James Travis Marshall of Timpson; daughters, Jessica Lynn Marshall of Center and Eileen Marie & Kevin Marshall of Carthage; stepchildren, Amada & Zach Muska of Barbers Hill, Travis Goodrum of Timpson, Danielle Brown and fiancé Reginald Davis III of Lubbock and Shelby Brown of Martinsville; brothers, George Marshall, Jerry Marshall and George James “Jimmy” Curtin, Jr. and sisters, Phyllis Defibaugh, Sue Peck, Rebecca Queen, Margaret Jean Hardman, Thrisa “Sue” Wolfe and Vi Ellen Arlene & Frank Bowers. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made at Austin Bank, Timpson to assist with funeral expenses.

Community Funeral Home of Center announces a memorial service for 65-year old Earnie Mae Goodwin, a former resident of Center. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at Pleasant Grove Church in Center. A wake will be held all day Friday at Community Funeral Home in Center. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to service at Pleasant Grove Church. Following visitation Friday Ms. Goodwin will be cremated. Among Missionary Goodwin’s survivors are, daughter, Gretta L. Goodwin of Washington, D.C.; son, Christopher & Sharon Goodwin of Humble; and brother, Leonard & Wilda Goodwin of Houston; and sisters, Alma Grace of Timpson, Clara & Elray Johnson of Houston, Rose Stephenson of Nacogdoches, Katherine Reed of Center and Horacey Hawkins of Morton.
