A fourth-quarter comeback fell short for the Tenaha Tigers as Bremond hangs on to take a 32-29 Class 2A, Div. II State Semi-Final football playoff win in Nacogdoches Friday night. An attempted on-side kick by Tenaha was recovered by Bremond with just over two minutes to play. It will be a battle of two unbeaten for the title as Bremond moves on to the State Championship game and will play Albany at 10 a.m. Thursday at AT&T Stadium Arlington. Both teams are 14-0. Center Broadcasting congratulates the Tenaha Tigers, players, coaches and fans on your success this season.

The Center Roughriders won the Gold Bracket Championship at the Central Heights basketball tournament Saturday night with a 53-51 win over Peaster. All -Tournament honors went to CJ Garner, Tyrone Roland, and Kyle Parks, and Octavius Evans was named Tournament MVP. The San Augustine Wolves lost to Bridge City, 71-79 in the third-place game of the Silver Bracket. The Garrison Bulldogs beat Troup, 46-42 for third place in the Bronze Bracket.
Tuesday night's basketball schedule has the Center Roughriders at Hudson starting at 5 p.m. with the freshmen; Diboll will be in San Augustine to take on the Wolves and Lady Wolves; Woden will be in Shelbyville to play the Dragons; the Timpson Lady Bears go to Alto; Jefferson will be in Joaquin to play the Rams; the Tenaha Lady Tigers go to Broaddus; and the Garrison Lady Bulldogs will try to even their district record at 1-1 as they go to Woodville.
In college hoops Sunday, the SFA Lumberjacks beat North Texas, 59-48, while the No. 9 Baylor Lady Bears defeat the SFA Ladyjacks, 96-57. The Lumberjacks are 7-3 on the season and will host Texas State and former Lumberjack coach Danny Kaspar at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Ladyjacks’ next game is Dec. 20 at home against Arizona.
