Mangum Funeral Home announces a graveside service for long-time Center physician, 81-year old Dr. Steve Oates of Center. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in Center. No visitation is planned. Among Dr. Steve Oates' survivors are sons, Laried Oates of Center and Shepherd & Denise Oates of Mesquite; and sister, Portia Gaines of Center. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the Fannie Brown Booth Library, First Christian Church in Center or any charity of choice.

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 82-year old Edith Smith. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ramah Baptist Church in Tenaha, with burial at Ramah Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday prior to service starting at noon at the church.

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces pending service for 27-year old Matthew Trevino of Center. He passed away Saturday at his residence. More information will be announced soon.

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine announces the death of 62-year old Weldon (Buddy) Lister of San Augustine. He passed away Tuesday at his residence. There will be a memorial service planned at a later date. Among Weldon (Buddy) Lister’s survivors is his wife, Pat Lister of San Augustine; daughter, Sheryl & David Green of Houston; son, Dwayne & Amy Lister of Houston; father, L.W. Lister, Sr. of San Augustine; sisters, Nina & Andy Barnett of San Augustine and Ann & Alvin Bridges of Deer Park.
