In observance of Pearl Harbor Day, this Sunday, Dec. 7, the Shelby County Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8904 and the Ladies Auxiliary will dedicate a new flag pole at the home of Mr. Glenn Prince. The dedication will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at Mr. Prince’s residence, 12019 Hwy. 7 East, Joaquin. The public is cordially invited.

In addition, Earl O. Wood, father of Debbie Grimes of Center was at Hickman Field, Hawaii with the U.S. Army during WWII, and he will be recognized by VFW Post 8904 and Ladies Aux. during services Sunday at Central Baptist Church in Center.
