Goodwill Industries of East Texas will open their new retail store in Center at 9 a.m. next Friday, Dec. 5. The store is located in the old Wal-Mart building, and offers over 10,000 sq. feet of shopping space.

The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Goodwill officials say donations to the store will be available in a convenient drive around drop off in the rear of the store. The revenue from donations of gently used clothing, house wares, furniture and electronics will support job training, counseling and job placement opportunities to those with barriers, here in East Texas.

Donations are also tax deductible.
