Fun filled, family day planned for Joaquin Christmas Festival East Texas Chopper Guys Toy Run & Food Drive in Joaquin Saturday

The Joaquin community will usher in the holiday season with the annual Joaquin Christmas Festival Saturday. In conjunction, the East Texas Chopper Guys Toy Run & Food Drive is being held, with donations of toys, canned goods and cash going to Joaquin Christian Services. Nancy Stevens heads up publicity for the event.

“She says it’s grown each year with a number of nice raffle and auction items up for grabs, including a 39-inch Vizio Flat-Screen TV. The raffle and auction will start after the 2 p.m. parade.”

Vendor set-up is 7 a.m. Saturday. Entry fee for the car, motorcycle and tractor show $10, with sign up at 10 a.m. There’s a parade at 2 p.m., followed by the raffle and auction, in addition to a cake walk. She added there are a number of things for kids, including a train ride, games and goodie bags and Santa will also be in attendance.

Looks like there’ll be nice weather. Gather up the family and enjoy the Joaquin Christmas Festival East Texas Chopper Guys Toy Run and Food Drive Saturday in downtown Joaquin.
