Funeral notices 11/24/14

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 95-year old Jim Ann Taylor of Center. She passed away Saturday in Center. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Center, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Ms. Taylor was retired from the Center ISD. She was hired as the first band director at Center ISD and continued to teach for 39 years. She's also a member of the Center High School Hall of Fame and served as choir director of First United Methodist Church. Among Jim Ann Taylor's survivors are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Choir Fund in Center.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 10-year old Nicholas Adrian Guerrero of Center. He passed away Thursday in San Augustine. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin. Nicholas was a student at Shelbyville Elementary. Among Nicholas Adrian Guerrero’s survivors are his parents, Chris & Amanda Belrose of Center; and siblings, Colton, Adrian & Tyler Belrose, and Austin & Kailea Hennigan, and Gloria, Naomi, Itzel, Madion and Daijhon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Texas Children’s Hospital, Genetics General Fund in Houston.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of a graveside service Sunday for 63-year old Robert D. Quigley, Sr. of Center. He passed away Saturday in Center. Graveside service was held at Salem Cemetery in Shelby County. Among his survivors are his sons, Robert, Jr. & Jessica Quigley of Center and Dale Quigley of Georgia; brothers, Larry & Debbie Quigley of Georgia and George Quigley of Florida.

 

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 46-year old Candy Denise Lewis Cox of Joaquin. Service will be at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces pending service for 54-year old David Whitton of Center. He passed away Sunday at his residence. Among his survivors is a son, Jessie Whitton of Oklahoma. Additional information will be announced later.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for Charles Harris of Center. He passed away Sunday at ETMC Carthage. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mangum Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rather Cemetery in Shelbyville. Among Charles Harris’ survivors is a son, Chuck & LouAnn Harris of Center; and daughter, Cathy Harris of Joaquin. Additional survivors and information will be announced later.
