The Center ISD Board of Trustees will have a special meeting at noon today for discussion of terms of a proposed separation agreement with Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Kevin Goodwin.

Goodwin told us earlier this week he would be leaving the school district after six years for personal reasons. He added he's walking away from an athletic program that's excelled in post-season in most all sports, and there's been an increase in the number of college signees since he arrived in 2009.

Goodwin is a Center native, and did not say if the separation would be effective at the holiday break, or what his future plans would be.

The board meeting will be in closed executive session, and any action would be done so in open session.
