Shelby County Attorney Gary Rholes’ 9th annual County Attorney Toy Drive is underway. Donations of new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls, ages 3 thru 13, or monetary donations are being accepted. Rholes says around 5,000 Shelby County youngsters have had a merrier Christmas the past 8 years thanks to donations from county citizens.

He says needs are determined by Shelby County teachers. Rholes stated the teachers see the children daily on a first-hand basis and they know the children that are in need.

You can drop those unwrapped toys or donations by Rholes' office on Nacogdoches Street, behind the Shelby County Sheriff's Dept. by Dec. 8. The toys are distributed by his office. Need more information, call the County Attorney's office at 598-6100.
