The City of Center Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors will have a regular meeting at noon today at City Hall.

Among the agenda items will be a presentation from Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Director Pam Phelps on ACT Workforce Ready Program.

Also, there will be discussion on the biannual or quarterly industrial breakfasts with major employers, and discussion on the Business Incubation Program Proposal.

City Manager Chad Nehring says this is a concept for assisting start-up businesses, particularly locals attempting to get a business up and running.

He added this would help with developing their business plan, loan application or contact with Small Business Development Centers at Angelina College and Kilgore College.
