A Logansport man admitted yesterday that he intentionally exposed several sexual partners to the HIV virus and also raped a young family member.

 

The admission happened in DeSoto District Court in Mansfield in the form of a guilty plea from 40-year old Cartrell Brooks.

 

District Attorney Richard Johnson said the plea to three counts of intentional exposure to AIDS and one count of aggravated incest came midway during the jury selection process in his trial.

 

Brooks will be sentenced at a later day. He faces a maximum of 30 years.
