Events planned for annual Tenaha High School Homecoming Saturday

Big day tomorrow in Tenaha as Tenaha High School observed Homecoming. Classes ending in a "4" will be recognized, dating back from 1934 to present.

 

The Tenaha Hall of Honor induction ceremony will be at 10 a.m. as the late Berta Babek (Baa-bic), Retired Master Sgt. Jonathan Adams Matthews, a 1987 THS graduate, and Steven Joe Watson, from the Class of ’81, will be honored.

 

Something new is Tiger Tailgating that will be held at the High School parking lot from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., prior to the Tenaha-Overton football game. Tiger fans are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy music, games, food and prizes. All games are 50-cents to $1.

 

The homecoming parade starts at noon, with the Tiger Pep Rally at the high school starting about 2:25 p.m. Pre-game activities with the Homecoming Court and crowning of the Queen as well as Hall of Honor Inductees will begin at 3:30 p.m. Followed by the football game at The Pit at 4 p.m. Center Broadcasting will have the game on Q-100 KQBB as Don Wall describes the action starting with pre-game at 3:50 p.m.
