We have some additional information on the death of a Center man whose body was found at his East Center residence.

Center Police say in a press release Monday they received a 911 call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in reference to a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound at a residence on Garrett Street.

Upon arrival Center PD officers found a black male, 38-year old Marcus Tremaine Goodwin with an apparent gunshot wound.

Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 Larry Jones pronounced Goodwin deceased at the scene.

The case is currently under investigation by Det. David Haley.
