At the Shelby County Commissioners' Court meeting Monday, the court agreed to table any action on the annexation of a road in the Land's End Subdivision until the next meeting Nov. 10.

Some 15 landowners in the subdivision, located on FM 2026 had petitioned the court seeking assistance with maintenance on road, which is less than a mile long. Pct. 4 Commissioner Bradley Allen advised he would check more into the situation before the next meeting.

Action was also take to appoint Robin Crawford of Timpson to the Shelby County Appraisal Board, to fill a position that's been vacant since the passing of Billy Walton.

Also, Able Tree was awarded the bid of $400 to remove a dead tree at the district probation office.
