The Blessing Box in Center provides a hot lunch, food pantry assistance

There's a community ministry that began the first of the year just north of the four-way stop on Tenaha Street in Center known as The Blessing Box. Eva Fuller said she wanted to give back and serve as many people as possible with a food pantry and a four-day a week $4 donation hot meal, for anybody, regardless.

Ms. Fuller says she prepares anywhere from 40 to 100 meals a day, and that money doesn't matter, especially if a person's hungry. She's serving lunches from 10-2 Tuesday thru Thursday, and till 5 p.m. on Friday when fish is on the menu. Ms. Fuller adds it can be costly especially when you figure in rent and utilities and that donations for meals go right back in to buy food and meet expenses.

She’s also accepting non-perishable food items through the holidays for The Blessing Box food pantry.

Assisting Ms. Fuller at The Blessing Box ministry is Barbara Moton.

For more information contact Eva Fuller at 936-572-8857 or Barbara Moton at 936-332-8400. The Blessing Box is located at 218 Porter Street.

Ms. Fuller said, "God put me here to be a service for him". She adds her goal is to make The Blessing Box self-sufficient and serve as many people as possible. "I want people who visit to fell God's presense".
