First week of early voting wraps-up, local elections result in good turn-out; extended hours today in Shelby County, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

After a full-week of early voting for the Nov. 4 General Election, we’re down to the final four days of balloting.

 

As of the close of voting Sunday afternoon, 1,259 had cast their ballots early in Shelby County for the General Election, 841 in the Center ISD Trustee race, and 40 for the City of Center Council Position 2.

 

 

Early voting continues until Friday, Oct. 31. In Shelby County, all county, city of Center and Center ISD elections vote early at the county clerk’s office on the Center square. You can cast your ballot from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday thru Friday.

 

 

Early voting for all elections in San Augustine County is taking place at Election Administrator Deborah Woods' office, and at the Broaddus Community Center. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today thru Friday at the elections office, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Broaddus at the community center.

 

You’re reminded you must have a valid photo ID in order to vote.
