Several Halloween events taking place this week

The San Augustine Chamber of Commerce will have a Trunk or Treat at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, Monday in downtown San Augustine at businesses and the courthouse square. All trick-or-treaters are invited to this free event.

 

The Center Varsity Baseball Team is inviting all area businesses to be a part of “Halloween in the Hole” from 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the varsity baseball field. They're asking local businesses, clubs and civic organizations to set up a table and allow Trick or Treaters to come and enjoy. They will follow the candy giveaway with a fun ballgame with the players in costume. If you are interested in being a part of this event, contact John Michael Burns at 488-1587 or Larry Horn at 590-2965. All kids, 12 and under are invited to join in the fun by Trick or Treating. Everyone is invited and trophies will be given out for the best Halloween costumes.

 

The Joaquin PTO is having a Trunk or Treat from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the elementary school parking lot. A silent auction basket fundraiser will be at 6 p.m. There will be a costume contest for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

 

The Shelby County Cruisers will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event. It will be on Friday, Oct. 31 at First Baptist Church from 5pm until the candy runs out.
