Tenaha ISD preparing for homecoming activities this week

The Tenaha High School Homecoming to be held this Saturday, Nov. 1, as the classes ending in a "4" will be honored, dating back to 1934 to present.

 

The Tenaha Hall of Honor induction ceremony will be at 10 a.m. as Berta Babek (Baa-bic), Retired Master Sgt. Jonathan Adams Matthews and Steven Joe Watson will be honored.

 

Something new is Tiger Tailgating that will be held at the High School parking lot from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. next Saturday, prior to the Tenaha-Overton football game. Tiger fans are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy music, games, food and prizes. All games are 50-cents to $1.

 

The homecoming parade starts at noon, with the Tiger Pep Rally at the high school starting about 2:25 p.m.

 

Pre-game activities with the Homecoming Court and crowning of the Queen as well as Hall of Honor Inductees will begin at 3:30 p.m. Followed by the football game vs. Overton at The Pit at 4 p.m.
