JNL Rehab & Rescue founder recovering from injuries received during recent rescue; adoption event to be held Saturday at Tractor Supply

I had the opportunity to speak with Lacey Griffin of JNL Animal Rehabilitation and Rescue Thursday and she informed me she was involved in a rescue related accident a week ago when a horse was "spooked" and ran over her.

She suffered some broken ribs, ruptured Sternum and a concussion during the mishap. However, she said she's on the mend and is preparing for an animal adoption event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tractor Supply in Center.

She said all types and sizes of dogs will be available for adoption. All that's required is an application, reference check and you picking up the costs of spay or neuter if the animal isn't already.

Ms. Griffin also said that Rachelle Deranger of Beaumont was the winner of the recent gun raffle.

She wanted to let everyone know she appreciates your kindness, thoughts and prayers during her recovery and her mission.

She can be reached at 936-645-8359.
