You're invited to vote early for Nov. 4 General Election; some 400 have cast ballots already in CISD race

Early voting for the Nov. 4 General Election continues until Friday, Oct. 31. In Shelby County, all county, city of Center and Center ISD elections vote early at the county clerk’s office on the Center square. You can cast your ballot today thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., also Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 26, from noon to 4 p.m.  There will be another extended hour voting time next Monday, Oct. 27, and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Early voting for all elections in San Augustine County is taking place at Election Administrator Deborah Woods' office in the El Camino Justice Center, and at the Broaddus Community Center. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Friday at the elections office, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Broaddus. Extended hours will be Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at both locations.

 

Remember, you must have a valid photo ID in order to vote in person. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail (received, not postmarked) is Friday, Oct. 24.

 

As of late Tuesday afternoon, some 400 citizens had voted early in the Center ISD Trustee election.
