CISD hoping to broaden safety & security on all campuses, new hires, retirement, resignations accepted

At the Center ISD Board of Trustees meeting last Thursday, Superintendent Dr. James Hockenberry gave a report on the district’s safety and security and told of ways they hope to broaden and improve those areas in the future.

 

Among those are the surveillance systems, the addition of a fourth police officer, and evaluate points of entry on each campus to determine if improvements can be made.

 

Dr. Hockenberry also presented information on employee benefits, which included a possible child care center for children under 3.

 

He also advised the board that Center ISD needed to remain competitive with salaries in order to lure and retain employees.

 

Also at the meeting, the CISD Board approved the employment of Lisa Haley, administration; Kristie Hooks, Center Intermediate; Katina Hubbard, Center Intermediate; Sarah Katie Martin, Center Middle School; Katherine Nehring, Center Elementary School; Mirna Sanchez, Center High School; Shalley Standley, Special Education and Sheaqua Standley, F.L. Moffett.

 

Also, the following substitute teaches were approved: Leticia Abundiz, Mildred Baldwin, Carolyn Cochran, Barbara Cloudy, Lindsey Goodwin, Rhonda Horton, Taylor Hudspeth, Lisa Jackson, Christina Jefferson, Jennifer Livington, Linda Matthews, Abigail Tello, Theresa Watkins and Raleigh Wilkins. 

 

The retirement of Bebee Metcalf was accepted, as was resignations of Sonya Spragis and Pamela West.
