He was born in Timpson and grew up in Joaquin. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. Service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m., with graveside services with military honors to follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson. Memorials can be made to the SFA Alumni Association, East Texas Baptist University, or the Volunteer Christian Builders of First Baptist Church in Henderson.

Garrison Funeral Home announces service for 75-year old Mary Ellen Farris Rector of Garrison. She passed away Wednesday in Henderson. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garrison Funeral Home, with burial at Concord Cemetery, Rusk County. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Garrison Funeral Home. Among Mary Ellen Farris Rector’s survivors are sons, Kenneth Rector and wife, Teny and Bobby Dale Rector and wife, Cheryle, all of Garrison; daughters, Jeannette George and husband, Jim of Garrison and Sonya Puckett and husband, David of Nacogoches; and sister-in-law, Thelma Rector of Garrison.
