Funeral Notices: 10/6/14

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 76-year old Jean Burns of Tenaha. She passed away Saturday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Watson & Sons in Center. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Warson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Smith Cemetery in Shelby County. Among Jean Burns’ survivors are children, Joe Burns and wife Tammy of Roswell, New Mexico, Florance Adams and husband Steve of Tenaha, Billy Burns and wife Rayla of Silsbee, Charles Burns and wife Brendah of Center, and Bridget Kay Burns Collins of Harrisburg Ark.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces a graveside service for 24-year old Manuel Jesus “Meno” Acopa-Heredia of Joaquin. He passed away last Thursday from injuries received in an automobile accident. Acopa-Heredia graduated from Shelbyville High School in 2008, and worked for Red River Pump Specialist in Shreveport. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. today at Restland Cemetery in Tenaha. Among Manuel Jesus “Meno” Acopa-Heredia’s survivors is father, Alfredo Acopa Ferral of Joaquin; mother, Mireya Alicia Acopa of Joaquin; brothers, Alfredo Acopa of Joaquin; sister, Genesis Mireya Acopa of Joaquin; and girlfriend, Erika Arcibar of Center.
