Information being sought on theft of cattle, tack in Harrison County

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the theft to 12 head of livestock, tack and several tools stolen from a Harrison County cattle ranch sometime between Monday, Sept. 29 and Tuesday, Sept. 30.

 

According to Special Ranger Larry Hand, 12 head of yearling cattle were penned at a cattle ranch off U.S. 59 south of Marshall, with the victim planning to ship the cattle the following day.

 

The unknown suspect(s) conducted a forced entry onto the ranch. Eleven of the yearlings were black, with the majority being steers, and one Charolais heifer stolen, and none were branded. However, most did have blue ear tags. Additionally, 16 inch Courts tan saddle, a 15 inch two tone tan ranch saddle, a 14 inch Vega kids tan high-back saddle, seven bridles, one Stihl chain saw, two circular says and two 25 foot welding leads were stolen.
