There will be some sub-varsity football games tonight in the area.

 

The Center Middle School Roughriders will be playing two games against Rusk starting at 4:30 p.m. at Roughrider Stadium.

 

The Shelbyville Jr. High 7th & 8th grade Dragon teams will play San Augustine this afternoon starting at 5 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. Meanwhile, the Dragon JV will play at Joaquin beginning at 6 p.m.

 

The Tenaha Tiger JV will play in Henderson at 7pm tonight.

 

Also this evening, Timpson Junior High will go to Joaquin Jr. High starting at 5:30 p.m.

 

There’s only one scheduled football game tomorrow night in Shelby County as the Joaquin Rams go to the Timpson Bears. This will be our Shelby County Game of the Week on Q-100 KQBB. The Logansport Tigers will travel to Ringgold Friday night in their district opener. Center, Tenaha, Shelbyville, San Augustine and Center all have open dates. Other games on tap Friday will include, Nacogdoches at Ennis, Lufkin vs. Whitehouse, West Sabine vs. Hull-Daisetta, and Hardin Jefferson at Tatum.

 

In volleyball, the Lady Riders are scheduled to be in Jasper for a 5 p.m. district match tomorrow, while the Timpson Lady Bears go to state-ranked Beckville in a district match starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

 

The 3^rd annual CASA 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday morning in Center, and will begin at 7 a.m. with the walk, followed by the run at 7:30 a.m. For questions contact Patty Watkins at 936-591-9553.
