The Timpson Police Department arrested two individuals on drug charges last weekend in separate incidents.
Officer Robert Hairgrove tells us 27-year old Justin Haessly of Tenaha was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Dangerous Drug after he was taken into custody displaying drugs underneath the gazebo on the Timpson Park Plaza.
Officer Hairgrove said he became suspicious of Haessly, who was lying on a picnic table around 11 a.m. Saturday morning with an undisclosed pain medication and meth in plain site.
Also, 30-year old Mindi Ducharme of Timpson was taken into custody after a routine traffic stop near U.S. Hwy 59 revealed she was in possession of Morphine pills, and told Officer Hairgrove before arriving at the sheriff’s office for processing, that she had a bag of meth concealed on her body.
Ducharme was released on a private recognizance bond, while Haessly remains in the Shelby County Jail.
