Autumnal Equinox ushers in Fall at 9:29 p.m. tonight, a wet next few months expected

We’re into the final few hours of summer, as the autumnal equinox begins the fall season in the Northern Hemisphere at 9:29 p.m. this evening.

According to the Old Farmers Almanac and AccuWeather, the South is expected to see above normal rain fall heading into the final three months of 2014, as well as into early 2015.

With the heart of hurricane season in the early fall, forecasters are saying September is predicted to be an active month in the Atlantic.

Fall will definitely be in the air Tuesday & Wednesday morning as morning lows are expected to be in the upper 50s with the passage of a front today.

Look for highs in the mid to upper 80s.
