Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a private memorial service was held earlier this week in Center for 85-year old Archie Thompson Buddin, Jr. He passed away Sept. 13 in Lufkin. Among Archie Thompson Buddin, Jr’s survivors are daughters, Melanie Lyons of Florida, Michell Buddin of South Carolina and Tiffany Buddin of Rosenberg; his late brother, Pat Buddin of Center; and sisters, Lois Ann Coker of South Carolina and Mary Gayle Paul of Ohio.

The family will go in procession from the funeral home to Old Sardis Cemetery in San Augustine County, leaving the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mangum Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
