Shelby County Grand Jury indicts Timpson woman in connection with toddler's death

A Timpson woman has been indicted by a Shelby County Grand Jury for criminally negligent homicide and injury to a child by omission in connection to her toddler child’s drowning in a bath tub earlier this year.

The indictment was handed down last week charging 20-year old Leanne Jeanette Fox in connection with the death of 14-month old Trenton Deloy Parks.

We had reported after the incident occurred on April 27, that Fox and the child’s father, David Parks were awaken by a neighbor knocking on their door on County Road 4694 in the Rose Hill Community, and found the child in the tub with the faucets still running.

They said the child and its three-year old sibling were asleep when they decided to take a nap.

As of this morning, Fox had not turned herself in at the Shelby County Jail for processing.
