In sub-varsity football last night, it was a sweep by the Center teams over Garrison. The 7^th grade Roughriders take a 3-0 win, with the 8^th grade coming away with a 32-0 decision, and in the Freshmen/JV game, the Riders win, 26-22.

Tonight’s varsity action has the Center Roughriders at home against the Garrison Bulldogs. Both teams are 1-1 and coming off losses last week. Elsewhere, the 0-2 Timpson Bears have their home opener with 2-0 Beckville, the Joaquin Rams have an open date, and the 0-2 San Augustine Wolves have a Saturday afternoon game in Dallas against the Episcopal School of Dallas at 4 p.m. In other area games, the 0-1 Logansport Tigers have their home opener against Lakeview, Nacogdoches at Carthage, Hemphill at West Hardin, and Lufkin plays John Curtis of Louisiana at 2 p.m. Saturday at Independence Stadium in Shreveport.

The SFA Lumberjacks are 1-1 on the season and are home Saturday night to play Texas A&M-Commerce at Homer Bryce Stadium. Kick-off is 6 p.m.
