The Nacogdoches County Commissioners' Court will be meeting this morning to have a public hearing and on the 2014-15 Budget and Tax Rate, with hopes of approving both. The proposed tax rate was almost $.55 cents per $100 valuation--about a 4.5 cent tax hike from the current rate. Two weeks ago the motion to accept that rate died for lack of a second. The proposed Nacogdoches County Budget has a 2-percent cost-of-living pay increase for all county employees.
