The Center City Council meets in regular session at 6 p.m. tonight, and their meeting will start with a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2015 Tax Rate and Proposed Budget.

In addition, the council will discuss and consider action on the annual contract with TxDOT Aviation to allow for the reimbursement of 50 percent of eligible routine maintenance and expenses at Center Municipal Airport; a resolution stating the city’s position on the U.S. EPA Proposed Emissions Rules; and approve street closures for the CASA Chicken Run on Oct. 4, and approving a resolution authorizing Mayor David Chadwick to execute an agreement with TxDOT for the closure of Shelbyville Street for the East Texas Poultry Festival.
