Garrison Homecoming set for Saturday, parade, domino, washer tourneys part of event, rain or shine

The Garrison Lions Club & Garrison Special Projects committee have joined forces to host the annual Garrison Homecoming this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dena Westmoreland is co-chair of Garrison Special Projects, and says the community homecoming has been moved from the Fall, back to Labor Day as it was for many years, and says there's been really good response.

Ms. Westmoreland says an added feature is the Bulldog Alumni Ally where classmates can meet and greet.

Events kick-off at 10 a.m. with a parade, followed by a domino and washer tournament, entertainment, games for the kids including a rock-climbing wall, bounce house, train rides, plus gift and food vendor booths.

Ms. Westmoreland added the FFA BBQ sale starts at 11 a.m., the announcement of Citizen of the Year and the Lions Club Cake Auction begins at 2 p.m.
