Downtown sidewalk improvements as part of the Main Street designation in the City of San Augustine are being addressed, as the city council approved the application for a Texas Department of Agriculture Main Street Program grant at their meeting Tuesday evening.
City Manager Bruce Milstead says the city's seeking $150,000 in funding for the project, with the city's match of $45,000.
He also said the council granted him permission to renew a revolving line of credit with Compass Bank for $150,000. Milstead said this assist especially during the summer months to assist with payment of the city's utility obligations to Deep East Texas Electric Co-op.
