A grease fire at Center Place Apartments Tuesday afternoon resulted in minor fire and smoke damage to an apartment. Center Fire Chief Keith Byndom says the call came in around 3:30 to the apartments on Clifford Street, and fireman arrived to find a good amount of smoke coming from Apartment 16, identified as the residence of Shaquanna Dock. He added fireman quickly extinguished the blaze and escorted other apartment occupants to safety. No injuries were reported.
