Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 24-year old Heather Jorgensen Green of Shelby County & Elkhart. She passed away Saturday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Among survivors are her husband, Chris Green and two daughters.

Mangum Funeral Home was in charge of service Sunday for 88-year old Winnifred Helton of Center. She passed away Friday at Memorial Health System of East Texas in San Augustine. Service was held at Mangum Funeral Home with burial at Sand Hill Cemetery in Center. She recently retired from NAPA-Toledo Automotive in Center where she was a bookkeeper for 35 years. Among Winnifred Helton’s survivors are, a son, Gary Helton of Center; and daughter, Zettie Dean of Center.

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 56-year old George Allen Goodwin, Jr. of Joaquin. He passed away Friday in LaMarque. Service will be at 2 p.m. today at Watson & Sons Chapel, with burial at Old Home Cemetery in Center. Among Mary “Bit” Hickman’s survivors are, a son, Kyle Hickman of Broaddus; daughter, Jane Bennefield of San Augustine; sisters, Pauline Simmons of Bronson, and Leodus Askew of Broaddus; and brothers-in-law, K.P. Jeanes of Broddus and Aubrey Hickman of San Antonio.
