Funeral Notices: 8/15/14

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces the passing of 80-year old Mary Nell Garrett Teer of Joaquin. She passed away Wednesday at her residence. The family will have a private memorial service at a later time. Among Mary Nell Garrett Teer's survivors are, a son, Randy Garrett of Joaquin; daughter-in-law, Mary Garrett of Beckville; sister, Laverne Higgins of Splendora; and brothers, Charles Johnson of the Deadwood Community of Panola County, and Buddy Johnson of South Houston.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 70-year old James Edward Cole of Tyler, formerly of Joaquin. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Sholar Cemetery in Joaquin, with military honors under the direction of US Navy Honor Guards. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home of San Augustine announces service for 82-year old Mrs. Alice Joy Bryan of San Augustine. She passed away Wednesday in San Augustine. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Broaddus. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. Among Alice Joy Bryan’s survivors are, son, Mike Bryan of San Augustine and Frank Bryan of Nacogdoches; daughters, Linda McCoy of Zavalla, Lori Courtney of Norwood, Jodine Rogers of San Augustine and Nancy McCarty, both of San Augustine; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Tarver of San Augustine.

 

Sid Roberts Funeral Home of Nacogdoches announces service for 86-year old Celia Pearl Greer, a long time resident of Center. She passed away last Saturday in Baytown. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Center, with interment at St. John’s Cemetery in Center. Family and friends will gather at Bright Morning Star cafeteria for the repass after interment. Visitation will be prior to service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Among Celia Pearl Greer’s survivors are, two daughters: Regina G. Netherly of Baytown, and Leachress A. Dorsey of Highlands; two sisters Thelma Carmichael and Velma Davis of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Tommie Dennis of Bellwood, Illinois, Keither Dennis of Rosevine and Willie Charles (W.C.) Dennis of Rosevine.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 66-year old Kay Loretta Waterhouse of Center. A Wake will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Community Funeral Home in Center. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Triumph Church in Center, with interment at Westview Cemetery in Center.

 

Garner & Son Mortuary of San Augustine announces pending service for 60-year old Ray Neil Montgomery of San Augustine. He passed away Tuesday at Lufkin Memorial Hospital.
