Watson & Son Funeral Home announces service for 74-year old, Attorney John R. Smith. He passed away Wednesday in San Augustine. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Among John R. Smith’s survivors are, his wife, Cindy Conway Smith; son, John Russell Smith, Jr. of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Nancy Lambert of Kentucky, Rita Smith of Reno, Nevada, and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Conway and Robert Earl Bailey of Nacogdoches. Memorial donations may to the American Cancer Society, Oklahoma City, OK, or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Washington, DC in memory of John R. Smith.

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 74-year old Jack Henry Hughes, Sr. of Center. He passed away Tuesday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hughes was a farmer. Service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Oaklawn Memorial Park, with military honors directed by VFW Post 8904. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Mangum Funeral Home. Among Jack Henry Hughes, Srs’. survivors, are children, Angela Latham and Amy Oswalt, both of Tenaha, and Judy McDonald, Jack “Peanut” Hughes, Jr., Tammy Roden, Billy Hughes, Chad “Shorty” Hughes and Jaclyn Morris, all of Center; and sister, Dorothy Shofner of Center.

 

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 88-year old

Alma Mae Hall of League City, formerly of Huxley. She passed away Tuesday in League City. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Strong Cemetery in Huxley. Among Alma Mae Hall’s survivors are, children, William “Bill” Hall and Melissa Jensen, both of Illinois, Jack Hall of Houston and Rebecca Tucker of League City.

 

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces the passing of 81-year old Henry Doyle Carroll of Joaquin. Visitation will from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Mangum Funeral Home. No service is planned, cremation will follow visitation.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine announces service for 74-year old Nancy May Womack of the Rosevine Community in Sabine County. She passes away Tuesday in Lufkin. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with interment in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in San Augustine County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. Among Nancy May Womack’s survivors are, daughters, Elizabeth Pugh of Texas City; and brother, Edwin Kelley of Longview.
