TxDOT crews have been working this week on the Hwy. 96 bypass, or Hurst Street in Center cutting out bad spots on the shoulders and patching.

Supervisors say the work will continue at least through next week.

Workers will be closing lanes and are urging motorist to slow down and drive with caution in work areas and beware of crews.

Remember, fines double if you’re caught speeding in those road-work areas where employees are working.
