July cold front produces thunderstorms Monday, another system expected Wednesday

The unusually late July cold front passage yesterday brought with it some late afternoon and early evening thunderstorm. T
 
hunder, lightning and rain were the major weather makers with the passage of the system. The National Weather Service said there was also the possibility of small hail and winds from 40 to 50 mph.
 
However, there's been no reports of storm damage.
 
A bit cooler weather is expected across the region.
 
Another disturbance will move toward us producing another round of rain and thunderstorms beginning late Wednesday, and especially during the day Thursday, before tapering off on Friday. No severe thunderstorms are expected.
