Shelby County Sheriff's Office warns of possible scam

The Shelby County Sheriff's Department is warning residents of a possible Scam that's made its way into the county.

 

According to sheriff's department investigator DJ Dickerson, unknown suspect(s) are contacting individuals using other people's phone numbers attempting to sell things.

 

Dickerson said most of the reports his department has received is in regards to the suspect making offers of lowering their interest rates in an attempt to get their personal identifying information as well as credit card information.

 

Dickerson warns residents to NOT give out any personal ID and/or credit/debit card information to anyone that sounds suspicious.
