Lifetree Cafe provides coffee shop atmosphere for old & new friends to discuss topical issues

There's a new way for the community to share information and conversation on today's news topics and items of interest that's gotten started in Center. Lifetree Cafe is meeting Thursday evenings at the Little Fox Marketplace on the square, across from the Rio Theatre. Rick Lindsey heads up the hour-long forums where you have the opportunity to weigh-in with your opinion, and hear those of your neighbor in a Christian atmosphere.

Lindsey says there's no admission, with snacks and beverages available.

Tomorrow night's program is fracking in the oil and gas industry, as the pros and cons will be presented in a video, and of course a time for local input.

Lindsey says Lifetree Cafe provides a coffeeshop setting where you can meet old friends and make new ones.

Future weekly Lifetree programs include: "Miracles or Mere Coincidences?" (Does everything happen for a reason); "Overcoming Childhood Pain"; and "Understanding radical Islam".

That's at 6 p.m. Thursday night at Little Fox Marketplace on the downtown Center Square. For more information, contact Rick Lindsey at 936-332-8312.
