Pam White Memorial Benefit meal, concert to feature Willie P. Richardson

Saturday's Pam White Memorial Benefit in Center will bring together a gathering of friends and other community residents to not only assist in raising funds to help defray the medical and funeral expenses incurred with her passing, but to help start one of Pam's visions, a soup kitchen in Shelby County. On hand to entertain and serve as the master of ceremonies for the event will be nationally-known comedian Willie P. Richardson, who'll present part of his family friendly stand-up routine at New Life Church in Center.

Richardson is also using the event as his retirement from the road after 20 years. He says he couldn't think of any better way to go out than paying tribute to his friend, Pam whom he said was always thinking of others to help and add to the programs of Shelby County Outreach Ministries.

There’s no admission to Saturday’s fund-raiser. A hot dog/hamburger meal will be served at 4:30 p.m. for $6, followed by a concert at 6 p.m. featuring music from Center contemporary Christian band, Soul Harvest and New Day Spirituals from Jasper, in addition to Brad Maule, aka Dr. Tony Jones from TV’s General Hospital. A love offering will be taken during the evening.
