The Shelby County Commissioners' agreed at Monday’s meeting to renew a land use agreement with Tri-County Community Action for storage building space, and the placement of additional storage buildings on site of the former Shelby General Hospital on Hurst Street in Center.

County Judge's Administrative Assistant Deanne Sample said a 10-year lease with a 120-day opt out for either side will be renewed.

Tri County has also been using the county-owned property at the old Center Elementary School on Nacogdoches Street as their offices for several years, with a possible long-term agreement to be worked out, soon.
